Credentials

I earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology from California State University Hayward. I enjoyed the subject so much that I decided to go on and get my Masters of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Children and Adolescents from John F. Kennedy University in Orinda.

I have earned a Play Therapy Certificate from John F. Kennedy University and am currently working on completing my Eating Disorders Certificate.

I have additional training in marriage counseling from the Gottman Couples Institute.

I have a true passion in working with kids and teens that have bipolar and mood disorders. I volunteer yearly at Camp Opehay as the Clinical Director of the camp for the three-day experience.

I have worked at a psychiatric hospital providing intake and assessments of severely mentally ill teens and adults.

I have also worked at a domestic violence and sexual assault agency with women and kids. I worked for 6 years at a family agency working with at-risk families and also at a continuation high school for at-risk teens with drug and alcohol problems, runaways, cutting behavior, depression, suicidal teens, anxiety, school problems, poverty issues, and many more issues.
